Childrens Partial Care (CPC)

The Children's Partial Care Program provides intensive half and full day group treatment for children from 3 to 18 years of age. Groups are limited to 5-10 participants for any given session. Groups are assigned based upon the presenting problems, age, sex, clinical needs, and developmental level of the child.

CPC utilizes the group modality for the Partial Care program to provide children with peer support, enhance social skills development, eliminate problem areas in both the school and family setting. Current groups include but are not limited to: group therapy, art therapy, movement therapy, recreation therapy, skills workshop male/female group, current events, social skills training, self awareness, relaxation, confrontation group, family group, and other topic groups as needed. Field trips are included for educational, cultural, and recreational purposes. CPC staff conducts intakes, family session, orientations and individual sessions on an as needed basis. Client's medication needs are coordinated with the client's prescribing physician.

The Children's Partial Care Program provides seriously emotionally disturbed youth with a highly structured intensive day treatment program. The program goals are as follows:

The Children' Partial Care Program shall serve youth with serious emotional disturbances. Priority for admission to the program will be given to those youth preparing for or have recently been discharged from a public or private hospital, psychiatric unit or other out of home placement. Priority shall also be given to those youth that by reason of a serious emotional disturbance are presently at risk of out of home placement.
